Halliburton Football Club was formed in 1976 as a works team playing in the oil related "Energy League". The team originally consisted of Halliburton Staff only and was played on a friendly basis. The football club was started in an official capacity in 1977 when membership was applied for and achieved into the Aberdeenshire Amateur Football Association.
The current team play its home games in Westhill, Aberdeenshire and compete in AAFA Div 2 East
